I worked out yesterday in my pool. Here’s what I learned:
1. I can do the breast-stroke all day or because that time period wasn’t tested, at least 5 minutes without stopping.
2. I can do freestyle for 2 laps in my mini-pool.
3. I can do the butterfly for half a lap.
4. I will probably embarrass my children someday when “Gonna Make You Sweat” comes on by C&C Music Factory (but what child of the 90’s wouldn’t).
5. I am a child of the 90’s. Even though I lived every year of the 80’s the early 90’s shaped me. (points 4 and 5 were learned by listening to the 90’s station while swimming)
6. I’ve heard that Muhammad Ali did pool training (shadow boxing in a pool) for 30-45 minutes consistently . I am able to do that for 30-45 seconds sporadically.
